I understand the costs and limitations. I'm not naively thinking that I can do all the same things that people with credit do, like buy a house. I realize that it means things cost more up front. That doesn't change the fact that I see credit as a losing game, designed to make you feel like you have more money than you do, and costing you more money than you would have normally spent in the process. Its like putting your life on payment plans. There is no way to win, there is no way to get out alive, so why bother? If you choose to play that game, and that works for you, go ahead, but I would rather waste my money in a way of my choosing. That and the fact that an economy built on the concept of credit is unsustainable.
So why, oh why, am I treated like an idiot when all I state is that I know the rules of the game and I'm not interested in playing?
