so, i finally saw V for Vendetta last night.
HOLY FROG-HUMPING CRAP!
it was absolutely amazing and moving. the layers of meaning and intensity just threw me for so many loops. It was also incredibly amazing on a film-making level. I can be highly critical of film making techniques from too many years of working in art house cinema and from having film students as coworkers, but this film, the subtle symbolism, the amazing cinematography and the gorgeous editing job put something on screen that i am hard pressed to find fault with. This film twisted my emotions and my convictions so hard and it hit me like a punch in the gut because i have always dreamed of being part of and witnessing such a mass movement of people inciting change for the benefit of all.
I is happy now!
i also couldn't help but feel special since Guy Fawkes Day is my birthday :) I will certainly always remember the 5th of November.
